Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Cairo – The Beginning of a Legend

Your Egyptian adventure begins the moment you land in Cairo, a vibrant metropolis where the echoes of the ancient world meet the rhythm of the modern day. You’ll be greeted by your personal Anteros Travel representative who will assist you through visa procedures and airport formalities, before escorting you by private transfer to your luxurious hotel.

Settle in, freshen up, and if time allows, take in your first sights of the city from the comfort of your balcony. In the evening, join your private tour director for a warm welcome, followed by a delightful dinner of local flavours. As Cairo lights up under the desert sky, your heart begins to stir with anticipation — this is the beginning of something unforgettable.

Day 2 Giza Plateau & The Egyptian Museum – Wonders Beyond Time

After breakfast, your private Egyptologist guide will lead you to one of the most iconic sites on Earth — the Giza Plateau. Here, the mighty pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure rise defiantly against the desert sky. Walk among the tombs and marvel at the scale of these wonders, symbols of a civilisation’s obsession with eternity. The enigmatic Sphinx, carved from a single slab of limestone, watches over the complex with timeless vigilance.

After a local lunch, continue your cultural immersion at the Egyptian Museum — a treasury of ancient relics. Explore rooms filled with dazzling artefacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun. If the Grand Egyptian Museum has opened its doors, your visit will shift to this spectacular new home of Egypt’s priceless antiquities.

Return to your hotel as the sun sets over Cairo. The memories already seem dreamlike.

Day 3 Coptic Cairo & Islamic Citadel – Spiritual Crossroads

Today begins in Old Cairo, a place where time pauses and faiths intertwine. Visit the Hanging Church, suspended over the Roman gate towers, and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, steeped in legend. Continue through narrow alleys to discover hidden gems of Coptic heritage.

Later, ascend the Muqattam Hills to the Citadel of Saladin, a majestic fortress of minarets and domes. The highlight is the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, whose gleaming walls reflect centuries of devotion. From this vantage point, gaze out over the vast city, imagining the countless stories whispered through its bustling streets.

Round off the day at Khan El-Khalili, Cairo’s most famous bazaar. Let your senses roam free — breathe in the scent of spices, admire hand-woven treasures, sip mint tea in a timeworn café. Cairo will now forever be etched into your soul.

Day 4 Cairo to Luxor – Gateway to the Eternal

After breakfast, board a short flight south to Luxor — once the heart of ancient Thebes, now a city where every stone tells a story. Upon arrival, you may visit the Luxor Heritage Centre (subject to flight time), a small yet moving introduction to the area’s profound legacy.

Then embark your luxurious Nile cruiser — a floating palace that will be your home for the next seven nights. After settling in, enjoy lunch aboard and rest as the Nile glides past your window.

In the evening, step ashore to explore Luxor Temple under the stars. Lit by golden lights and flanked by sphinxes, it feels like a stage set for gods. Let your guide reveal the secrets of its walls before returning to your ship for dinner. The journey has only just begun, and already your heart is full.

Day 5 Luxor – Temples of Gods and Kings

This morning, set off to discover Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built by man. Wander through its vast Hypostyle Hall with 134 giant pillars that still echo with the power of ancient rituals. Marvel at the obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutankhamun’s sacred lake, still glistening beneath the Egyptian sun.

Later, explore the impressive Luxor Museum, where you’ll see statues, mummies, and exquisite artefacts from the surrounding temples. Return to your Nile cruiser for lunch, and let the ship set sail southwards. Tonight, consider attending the Karnak Temple Sound & Light Show — a mesmerizing journey into the past, beneath a blanket of stars.

Day 6 Valley of the Kings – Secrets of the West Bank

Rise with the sun for an unforgettable experience: a hot air balloon ride over the Theban Necropolis (optional). Drift silently over the timeless desert as the golden light unveils tombs and temples below.

After breakfast, cross to the West Bank of Luxor and enter the famed Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs prepared for eternity. Marvel at vibrant murals and sacred texts still shining after millennia. Continue to the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s great female ruler, and pause before the towering Colossi of Memnon.

In the afternoon, your ship continues its graceful journey south. Watch the Nile valley unfold beside you as you savour dinner on deck under the desert moonlight.

Day 7 Edfu and Kom Ombo – Temples of Duality and Devotion

This morning brings a visit to Edfu Temple, one of the most beautifully preserved shrines in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Explore its towering columns, sacred halls, and ancient inscriptions detailing mythological battles between good and evil.

As the ship sails onwards to Kom Ombo, relax on deck with a book or enjoy afternoon tea in the lounge. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the unique double temple devoted to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the elder. Admire twin sanctuaries and marvel at mummified crocodiles in the adjacent museum — a reminder of how the Nile shaped belief as much as it did life.

The night is yours aboard the ship as we sail on to Aswan.

Day 8 Abu Simbel or Aswan Serenity – A Day of Choice

Today you have the rare chance to visit Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most jaw-dropping sights (optional). Carved into a cliff by Pharaoh Ramses II, its colossal statues still guard the desert frontier with unmatched majesty. Alternatively, stay in Aswan and explore the peaceful riverside city at your own pace.

In the evening, return to the magical Philae Temple for a Sound & Light Show. Watch the sacred sanctuary of Isis come alive in lights and voices — a spellbinding finale to a day steeped in choice and beauty.

Day 9 Aswan – Grace Along the Nile

Your final full day on the Nile begins with a visit to the High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering. Then sail to the island sanctuary of Philae Temple, saved from flooding and reborn in splendour. This beautiful temple to the goddess Isis is surrounded by gentle waters and lush vegetation — a haven of tranquility.

Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk and the Nubian village of Gharb Soheil, where domed mud-brick houses and vibrant murals tell of a proud and colourful heritage. Wander the alleyways, meet artisans, and discover the hospitality that makes Nubia unforgettable.

End your journey today with a felucca cruise — a quiet sailboat gliding over the Nile's golden waters as the sun sinks low. Tonight, the river says farewell — but the memories are yours forever.

Day 10 Luxor West Bank – Into the Tombs of Eternity

Today, step into the heart of the ancient afterlife. Cross the Nile to the West Bank and begin with the world-renowned Valley of the Kings. Beneath barren cliffs lie tombs filled with dazzling artwork and spiritual texts, crafted to guide pharaohs through the afterlife. Walk softly through corridors once sealed in silence for millennia.

Visit the grand Temple of Hatshepsut, seamlessly blending into the mountain cliffs, and stand before the Colossi of Memnon — twin guardians of Thebes. Then on to Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III, where richly coloured reliefs show epic battles and sacred rites.

By afternoon, check into your elegant hotel in Luxor for a tranquil evening. Watch the sun fade over the Nile, golden light dancing on ancient waters.

Day 11 Luxor – Echoes of Civilization

This morning, delve into Luxor’s artistic legacy at the Luxor Museum. Its curated collection reveals the craftsmanship of forgotten dynasties: statues, jewellery, and sacred relics from temples and tombs all around the region. Don’t miss the double statue of Sobek and Amenhotep III — an extraordinary piece discovered in a waterlogged shaft.

The rest of your day is free to relax by the pool, stroll along the corniche, or do a little last-minute shopping. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner with your Anteros Travel host — a final taste of Egyptian hospitality, seasoned with laughter and the warmth of your journey’s memories.

Day 12 Return Home – A Heart Full of Wonders

All great journeys come to an end, but Egypt never truly leaves you. After breakfast, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight home, your spirit filled with echoes of temple hymns and desert breezes, and your heart steeped in mystery, warmth, and the magic of the Nile.

From the moment you arrived, Anteros Travel was honoured to guide your private voyage — we look forward to welcoming you back soon for your next tale across time.

Day 13 Cairo Departure – Until We Meet Again

After breakfast, your unforgettable Egyptian journey comes to a gentle close. A private Anteros Travel representative will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to Cairo International Airport for your return flight. While your physical journey ends today, the memories of the Nile’s embrace, ancient wonders, and heartfelt moments will stay with you forever.

As you board your flight, perhaps you’ll look back once more through the plane’s window, knowing that the spirit of Egypt will always welcome you back — and that your story with this land is far from over.
