Day 1 Arrival in Cairo

Your adventure begins in Cairo, the vibrant heart of Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will assist you through customs and transfer you to your hotel.

Take the evening to rest after your journey or enjoy a short stroll around the city’s buzzing streets.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2 Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum, Citadel & Bazaar

Today, you’ll stand face-to-face with one of the world’s greatest wonders—the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Built more than 4,500 years ago, it remains the only surviving wonder of the ancient world.

Explore the nearby pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and gaze at the majestic Sphinx—half lion, half pharaoh—believed to embody the guardian spirit of the necropolis.

In the afternoon, delve into 5,000 years of history at the Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of artifacts including the glittering funerary mask of Tutankhamun.

Later, climb to the Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress built to defend against Crusaders. Here, you’ll visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali—its domes and minarets reminiscent of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.

End the day at Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s oldest and most atmospheric bazaar. Sip mint tea in a traditional café or bargain for silver and spices.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3 Alexandria Day Trip

Travel north to Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BCE. Begin at Pompey’s Pillar, a 25-meter column that rises above the ancient Serapeum, once a grand Greco-Egyptian temple.

Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, where Roman and Egyptian funerary styles are uniquely blended in a multi-level burial site.

Visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the exact spot where the Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Conclude with a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a stunning modern homage to the legendary ancient library. Walk through its vast reading halls, museums, and art galleries.

Return to Cairo by evening. Overnight stay.

Day 4 Journey to Bahariya Oasis & Black Desert

Leave Cairo behind and travel to the Bahariya Oasis, a lush depression surrounded by golden dunes. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a traditional guesthouse.

Switch to 4x4 vehicles and head into the Black Desert—named for its volcanic peaks dusted in black basalt. Climb English Mountain for panoramic views and stop at El Hez village for a dip in its natural spring.

Camp under the stars in the open desert. Enjoy fire-cooked Bedouin cuisine and a night of drumming and stargazing.

Overnight in desert tents.

Day 5 Crystal Mountain & White Desert Camping

Begin your day with breakfast in the desert. Visit Crystal Mountain, a ridge encrusted with shimmering quartz.

Then enter Agabat Valley, where cream-colored cliffs rise from golden dunes, creating a surreal and breathtaking landscape.

Break for a picnic lunch and continue to the White Desert National Park. Wind-carved chalk formations take on whimsical shapes—mushrooms, camels, even ice cream cones.

Set up camp among the formations. As the sun sets, the landscape glows in soft pink and gold hues. Enjoy another traditional dinner and fall asleep under a canopy of stars.

Day 6 Hidden Desert Wonders & Return to Bahariya

After breakfast, explore more remote parts of the White Desert—ancient marine beds filled with fossils and coral reefs.

Try sandboarding or take a short hike before driving back to Bahariya.

Stop at El Makhroum, a freestanding rock shaped like a doorway, and a scenic salt lake with turquoise waters.

Rest and dine at your guesthouse. Overnight in Bahariya.

Day 7 Return to Cairo

Enjoy a final breakfast in the oasis, then begin your return journey to Cairo.

Optional stop at the Golden Mummies Museum, where beautifully preserved Greco-Roman mummies are displayed.

Arrive in Cairo in the afternoon. Evening at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 8 Flight to Luxor & Temples of Thebes

Take a morning flight to Luxor, ancient Thebes and capital of the New Kingdom. Meet your guide and transfer to your luxury Nile cruise.

In the afternoon, explore Karnak Temple, one of the largest temple complexes ever built, featuring towering columns, sacred lakes, and obelisks.

Then visit Luxor Temple, dramatically lit at night, dedicated to Amun and linked to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes.

Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 9 Valley of the Kings & Queen Hatshepsut

Cross the Nile to Luxor’s West Bank and step into the Valley of the Kings—final resting place of Egypt’s great pharaohs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female pharaoh, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

Pause at the Colossi of Memnon, twin statues that have stood guard for over 3,000 years.

Return to your cruise and sail south toward Esna. Overnight onboard.

Day 10 Temples of Edfu & Kom Ombo

Begin the day with a horse-drawn carriage ride to Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus the falcon god. It is among the best-preserved temples in Egypt.

Sail to Kom Ombo to visit its twin temple—one side devoted to Horus and the other to Sobek, the crocodile god. See mummified crocodiles in the adjoining museum.

Continue cruising toward Aswan. Overnight onboard.

Day 11 Aswan Highlights & Felucca Sailing

Visit the modern marvel of the Aswan High Dam, which tamed the Nile and created Lake Nasser.

Explore the Unfinished Obelisk, still lying in its ancient quarry—a glimpse into pharaonic stone-carving techniques.

Then sail to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, saved from floodwaters by a UNESCO relocation project. This elegant temple is dedicated to Isis, goddess of love and magic.

In the afternoon, enjoy a felucca ride around the lush botanical gardens of Kitchener’s Island and Elephantine Island.

Overnight onboard.

Day 12 Flight to Cairo & Free Day

Disembark your cruise and take a morning flight back to Cairo.

The rest of the day is yours—relax, go shopping, or join an optional excursion like the Sound and Light Show at the pyramids.
