Full Itinerary

Meet your private Egyptologist guide near the historic city walls and embark on a walking journey through the golden age of Cairo.

Stop 1: Bab al-Futuh & Bab al-Nasr

Begin at the majestic city gates of Fatimid Cairo — Bab al-Futuh and Bab al-Nasr, both built in the 11th century. These ancient fortifications once protected the city from invaders and are now gateways into a living museum of Islamic heritage.

Stop 2: Al-Muizz Street

Stroll along Al-Muizz Street, a UNESCO-recognized treasure and one of the oldest streets in Cairo. Pass by intricately decorated mosques, madrassas, sabils, and palaces, including Qalawun Complex, Sultan Barquq Mosque, and Bayt al-Suhaymi. Your guide will unveil stories of Mamluk sultans and Ottoman elegance.

Stop 3: Mosque of Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah

Step inside the monumental Mosque of Al-Hakim, one of Cairo’s earliest stone mosques. Learn about the enigmatic caliph it’s named after, and admire its clean, symmetrical design.

Stop 4: Khan El-Khalili Bazaar

End your tour in the legendary Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, where you can sip tea at the historic El-Fishawy Café or shop for perfumes, spices, lanterns, and souvenirs.

You’ll then be escorted back to your hotel or can continue exploring at your leisure.
