Overview

Embark on a spiritual and physically rewarding journey through the Sinai desert with an overnight hike to the summit of Mount Sinai—believed to be the site where Moses received the Ten Commandments—followed by a morning visit to the historic Saint Catherine’s Monastery.

Overnight Itinerary

Evening Departure (Approx. 8:00 PM):
Your tour begins with an evening pick-up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. The drive to Mount Sinai takes about 3–3.5 hours through the peaceful desert roads of South Sinai.

Upon arrival at the base of Mount Sinai, you will meet your Bedouin guide who will accompany you throughout the night hike.

Midnight Hike to the Summit of Mount Sinai:
At around midnight, you will begin your hike to the top of Mount Sinai. The trail is approximately 7 kilometers long and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to ascend, depending on your pace. There are two main routes: the Camel Path (a winding, less steep route) and the Steps of Repentance (a more direct and challenging stone staircase of 750 steps near the summit).

Most hikers use the Camel Path until the final section, then climb the Steps of Repentance for the last stretch. The journey is done in the cool silence of the desert night, under a sky filled with stars, creating a truly spiritual and awe-inspiring atmosphere.
