Tour Itinerary
Departure from Hurghada and Surrounding Resorts:
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Hurghada or surrounding areas such as Makadi Bay, Soma Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, El Gouna, Safaga, or Kalawy Bay. Traveling through the majestic Red Sea Mountains, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive toward Luxor. Along the way, there will be a short stop for breakfast before delving into the heart of Egypt’s ancient wonders.
Karnak Temple:
The first stop is the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex of towering temples, colossal statues, and grand pylons that stand as a testament to Egypt’s architectural brilliance. Here, your private Egyptologist guide will share fascinating stories about the history and symbolism of this ancient religious site, which was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
Lunch on the Nile
Following your exploration of Karnak, you’ll be treated to a set-menu lunch at a local restaurant with views of the Nile River, offering a blend of Egyptian and international cuisine.
Valley of the Kings:
After lunch, you’ll cross the Nile by motorboat to reach the legendary Valley of the Kings. This ancient royal necropolis is home to over 60 tombs of pharaohs and nobles. Your entrance ticket includes access to three of these intricately decorated tombs. For those who wish to explore further, entry to the Tomb of Tutankhamun and the Tomb of Ramses VI is available at an additional fee (details below).
Temple of Hatshepsut:
The journey continues with a visit to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most remarkable female rulers. Built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, this temple’s terraces and statues reflect both power and elegance.
Colossi of Memnon:
Before heading back to Hurghada, you’ll stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon – two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, standing guard over the ancient Theban necropolis.
