Your journey begins early with a welcome briefing hosted by your Anteros Travel tour leader and Egyptologist. Over coffee and introductions, we’ll prepare for the days ahead. Then, it’s off to explore Cairo’s timeless treasures.
Our first stop is the Egyptian Museum, home to awe-inspiring relics over 5,000 years old, including the gilded wonders of Tutankhamun’s tomb. We continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to stand before the very mummies of the kings and queens who once ruled the Nile.
In the afternoon, we dive into the colourful chaos of Khan el-Khalili bazaar, a labyrinth of spice-scented alleys and centuries-old shops.

Note: After July 3, 2025, we’ll visit the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum instead of the older museum.
No image of Egypt is more iconic than the pyramids. Today, we stand in awe before the colossal structures of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and the enigmatic face of the Great Sphinx. Your Egyptologist guide will help you decode the ancient engineering and the mythology surrounding these tombs for the gods.
There’s an option to step inside one of the pyramids for an additional fee—a moment that feels like walking into the soul of the past.
Later, we drive to a scenic viewpoint for one last look at these wonders under the sunlit sky.

An early morning transfer to the airport takes us south to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. Upon arrival, we head straight to the sprawling Karnak Temple complex—an awe-inspiring forest of towering columns and sacred halls dedicated to the god Amun.
Next, we stroll through the elegant Luxor Temple, still glowing with stories of divine kingship and Roman alterations. The Nile flows nearby as if listening to the stories carved into every wall.
We then board our floating hotel, where a delicious lunch welcomes us. The afternoon is yours to unwind or wander Luxor’s lively corniche with your Anteros Travel rep on hand to assist.

We set out early for the West Bank—land of the setting sun and the ancient necropolis of Egypt’s New Kingdom. In the Valley of the Kings, we descend into beautifully painted tombs, their walls alive with ancient scripture and images of rebirth.
Three tombs are included with your ticket, and if time allows, you may opt to visit Ramses VI or Tutankhamun’s tomb—each a haunting marvel of royal legacy.
Next, we pay tribute to Queen Hatshepsut at her elegant mortuary temple, a testament to her unique rule. Finally, we pause before the towering Colossi of Memnon, two ancient guardians of forgotten glory.
Returning to the cruise, we begin our voyage upriver. Relax as the desert glows amber and gold, the Nile mirroring the evening sky.

In the late afternoon, we stop at Kom Ombo—a dual temple that once served both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris. The symmetry and mythological symbolism here are captivating.
