Tour Plan

Day 1 Cairo – Welcome to Egypt

Salaam aleikum! Welcome to Egypt. Your journey begins in the buzzing heart of Cairo, a city that never sleeps and pulses with ancient wonders and modern energy. You’ll meet your tour leader and fellow travelers this evening at a 6 pm welcome meeting – it’s important you attend, as your leader will collect key information such as your travel insurance and next-of-kin details. If you're running late, let your travel agent or the hotel reception know in advance. You might also find a note in the hotel lobby with details on where the meeting will be held.

Cairo is one of the great ancient cities of the world – where history surrounds you at every corner. If you arrive early, why not take a traditional felucca ride on the Nile, or wander through the colourful and chaotic Khan el-Khalili market? For a quieter alternative, visit the peaceful Christian Coptic quarter.

And if you're feeling adventurous tonight, venture into Cairo’s nightlife to toast the start of your epic Egyptian adventure.
