4-Night Luxury Nile Cruise: From Aswan to Luxor
Where Ancient Myths Flow With the River
Close your eyes and listen. Do you hear it? That’s the whisper of the Nile — a timeless murmur flowing through the heart of Egypt. For over five thousand years, this river has carried pharaohs, gods, and dreamers. Now, it’s your turn to journey through its soul. Step aboard a floating palace, drift from Aswan’s serenity to Luxor’s grandeur, and let Egypt unveil its secrets to you — one temple at a time.
Upon arrival in Aswan — one of Egypt’s most graceful cities — a warm welcome awaits. You’ll be met by our team and escorted to your luxurious 5-star cruise ship, your home for the next four nights.
After lunch onboard, your journey through ancient history begins at the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis — the goddess of motherhood, magic, and rebirth. Set on Agilkia Island and only accessible by boat, this sanctuary was saved from drowning under Lake Nasser and relocated stone by stone in one of UNESCO’s greatest rescue missions.
Next, stand atop the High Dam, a modern wonder that tamed the mighty Nile and changed Egypt forever. With panoramic views stretching across Lake Nasser, this colossal dam is a symbol of Egyptian ambition and resilience.
Your day concludes with a tranquil felucca sail, gliding past Elephantine Island and the elegant Mausoleum of Aga Khan, resting high above the river. The breeze carries the scent of lotus flowers and the rhythm of Nubian drums.
Dinner onboard. Overnight in Aswan.
Wake up to the gentle ripples of the river as you sail towards Kom Ombo, home to one of the most unique temples in Egypt. Perched dramatically on a bend in the Nile, this dual temple is dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and power, and Horus the Elder, protector and healer.
As you wander through its perfectly symmetrical halls, you’ll notice intricate carvings — some among the earliest known depictions of surgical tools and medical practices. The adjacent Crocodile Museum is a fascinating stop, displaying mummified crocodiles that once basked here as sacred beings.
Return to your ship and enjoy afternoon tea on the sun deck, watching as palm groves and riverside villages glide by. The cruise continues toward Edfu.
Dinner and overnight onboard in Edfu.
This morning, step into a horse-drawn carriage — the traditional way to reach Edfu Temple, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temples. Towering pylons greet you as you enter this monumental structure dedicated to Horus, the falcon god and avenger of his father Osiris.
Inside, tales of divine battle unfold: Horus versus Seth, order versus chaos — etched into every wall with exquisite detail. It’s a temple that feels alive with myth, power, and divine justice.
Return to your cruise ship for lunch and begin sailing towards Esna, passing lush landscapes and tiny river islands that shimmer in the golden sun.
Dinner and overnight near Esna.
Welcome to Luxor, the city once known as Thebes, capital of ancient Egypt during the New Kingdom. After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable tour of the East Bank — home to two of the most majestic temples ever built.
Start at Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex of sanctuaries, columns, and obelisks built over 2,000 years. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, where 134 massive columns soar like a forest of stone, some inscribed with the names of pharaohs who shaped Egypt's destiny.
Then stroll along the Avenue of the Sphinxes, a ceremonial road once used for royal processions, until you reach Luxor Temple, a symbol of divine kingship beautifully illuminated at night.
Return to the ship for your farewell dinner, under a sky freckled with stars.
Overnight onboard in Luxor.
After breakfast and check-out, you’ll cross the Nile to the legendary West Bank, where the afterlife begins — in ancient belief.
Enter the sacred Valley of the Kings, burial ground of pharaohs including the boy king Tutankhamun. Here, hidden in the cliffs, lie tombs carved deep into the rock and painted with vivid scenes of the journey to the afterlife. Your Egyptologist will guide you through some of the most fascinating ones open on the day.
Next, gaze up at the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first great female pharaoh, who ruled as king. Her temple rises in terraces against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari like a vision from another world.
Before you leave Luxor, pause at the towering Colossi of Memnon — two massive statues that have stood watch over the Theban plain for over 3,400 years.
After a soul-stirring journey, you’ll be transferred to Luxor Airport or train station for your onward travels — taking with you not just memories, but a part of Egypt’s eternal story.
