Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure — perhaps unwind by the pool or take in your first impressions of this energetic city.
For early arrivals, we recommend an optional guided Backstreets of Cairo tour: a walk through hidden neighborhoods, visits to Islamic-era mosques along El Moez Street, the rugged charm of Garbage City, and the extraordinary Cave Church of St. Simon — all revealing a side of Cairo most travelers never see.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Egypt’s most iconic symbols. Begin at the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu — the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Your Anteros Egyptologist guide will unravel the mysteries of this astonishing structure, built over 4,500 years ago. Stand before the majestic pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and gaze into the eyes of the Sphinx.
We then continue to Saqqara, Egypt’s vast ancient necropolis and home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser — the world’s first large-scale stone structure. Explore tombs adorned with early hieroglyphics and vivid carvings.
Return to Cairo for free time — perhaps visit the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar.

This morning, visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum — home to over 100,000 artifacts. Explore dazzling exhibitions from colossal statues to the treasures of King Tutankhamun.
Later, visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, where legendary discoveries await, including the gold mask of Yuya and Thuyu.
In the evening, transfer to the train station for your private sleeper cabin on the overnight train to Luxor.
