Tour Plan

Day 01 Welcome to Istanbul – Where East Meets West

Arrive in Istanbul, the only city in the world that straddles two continents. A place where empires rose and fell, and where history still lingers in the air. Formerly Byzantium and Constantinople, this vibrant metropolis has been a center of culture, power, and commerce for over two millennia. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. If time allows, wander through the old city or enjoy Turkish tea at a local café. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 02 Imperial Istanbul – Sultans, Spires & Skyline Views

After a hearty Turkish breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Süleymaniye Mosque, one of the crowning achievements of Ottoman architecture. Built in the 16th century by the legendary architect Mimar Sinan for Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, the mosque stands atop Istanbul’s third hill, offering sweeping views over the Golden Horn and Bosphorus. Inside, the design reflects classical Ottoman elegance—high domes, intricate calligraphy, and soft natural light. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your own pace. Consider visiting a hammam, the Egyptian Bazaar, or walking the bustling Istiklal Avenue. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 03 Bosphorus Dreams & Spice-Laden Streets

Start your morning at the atmospheric Spice Bazaar, a marketplace brimming with Ottoman-era charm and scents of saffron, cloves, and dried roses. This historical bazaar has served as a commercial hub since the 17th century. Then, embark on a scenic cruise along the Bosphorus Strait, the natural boundary between Europe and Asia. As your boat glides past opulent Ottoman mansions, baroque palaces, and ancient fortresses like Rumeli Hisarı, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for Istanbul’s layered history. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. In the evening, an optional Bosphorus dinner cruise offers unforgettable views of illuminated mosques and suspension bridges. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 04 From Byzantium to the Republic – Journey to Ankara

Leave the city behind and journey inland toward Ankara, the modern-day capital of Turkey. En route, traverse the verdant Bolu Mountains, a region known for its pine forests and mountain springs. Arrive in Ankara, a city often overlooked but rich in historical importance. Visit Anıtkabir, the monumental mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Turkish Republic. This modern architectural masterpiece is both a symbol of national pride and a place of deep reverence. Wander through the accompanying museum to see personal belongings, battle plans, and moving tributes to Turkey’s founding father. Dinner and overnight stay in Ankara.

Day 05 Salt Lakes & Ancient Traditions – Arrival in Cappadocia

After breakfast, depart Ankara and travel southeast toward Cappadocia, a land of surreal landscapes shaped by ancient volcanic eruptions. Along the way, stop at Tuz Gölü—Turkey’s Salt Lake—an otherworldly white expanse that stretches across the horizon. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, visit a traditional ceramic atelier in Avanos, where artisans continue 4,000-year-old pottery techniques passed down from the Hittites. Explore a gem workshop showcasing regional stones like turquoise and onyx. As the sun sets over rose-tinted valleys, consider an optional Jeep safari for thrilling views. Dinner and overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 06 Rock Churches & Underground Cities – The Heart of Cappadocia

Rise early if you wish to take a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia’s lunar landscape—its fairy chimneys and rolling valleys painted in soft hues by the morning sun. After breakfast, explore the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum, a monastic complex carved into volcanic rock by Byzantine monks. Inside these rock-hewn chapels are some of the finest examples of medieval Christian art, with frescoes dating back to the 9th century. Continue to Pasabagi and Pigeon Valley, where natural rock formations stand like sentinels over vineyards and dovecotes. In the afternoon, descend into the depths of Kaymakli Underground City, a sprawling labyrinth of tunnels and rooms used by early Christians to escape persecution. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show with whirling dervishes and folk dancers. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 07 Return to Istanbul – Reflections by the Bosphorus

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy your final evening at leisure. Consider a visit to the Galata Tower for panoramic city views or a farewell dinner in a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 08 Farewell, Turkey – Memories of a Timeless Land

Enjoy a final Turkish breakfast before transferring to the airport for your flight home. As you depart, carry with you the echoes of ancient chants in cave churches, the scent of cardamom from Istanbul’s markets, and the warmth of Turkish hospitality that lingers long after the journey ends.
