From the mystery of the ancient pyramids to the dazzling reefs of the Red Sea, this is Egypt as few families have seen it — bold, curious, unforgettable. Travel from the golden sands of Giza to the quiet waters of the Nile, uncover royal tombs, meet welcoming locals, and snorkel above coral gardens teeming with life. With expert guidance, authentic moments, and memories to last a lifetime, this is a journey that connects generations through the magic of travel.
Arrive in Egypt’s vibrant capital — a city where ancient wonders rise from a sea of honking taxis and minarets pierce the sky. Settle into your hotel and unwind before meeting your Anteros Travel tour leader in the early evening. If you’re early, sip tea by the Nile or wander through the labyrinthine alleys of Khan el Khalili market. Cairo is chaotic, colourful, and completely captivating — and this is just the beginning.
Accommodation: Pyramid Park Hotel (or similar)
Meals Included: None
Stand in awe before the Great Pyramid of Giza — one of the last surviving wonders of the ancient world. Marvel at the enigmatic Sphinx and learn about the beliefs that built these monuments. In the afternoon, enter the Egyptian Museum to view a treasure hoard unmatched in history — the golden mask of Tutankhamun is just the beginning.
By evening, board an overnight sleeper train to Aswan, your next adventure drifting just ahead on the rails.
Accommodation: Sleeper Train to Aswan
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Arrive in Aswan, the southern jewel of the Nile, where palm trees line the banks and feluccas sail like whispers on the water. Take a short boat ride to visit Philae Temple, rescued from a watery grave and now resting on a tranquil island. The carvings here tell tales of gods and pharaohs — and the views are just as poetic. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, or explore Aswan’s lively markets where spices, fabrics, and smiles are always in abundance.
Accommodation: Obelisk Nile Hotel (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast
Rise early if you choose to visit Abu Simbel — a majestic temple carved into rock and relocated stone by stone to escape flooding. It’s a long road, but the sight of Ramses II towering 20 metres above you is worth every mile.
Back in Aswan, step aboard a traditional felucca and begin a peaceful journey down the Nile. Tonight, stay in a Nubian village where you’re welcomed like family. Share stories, help prepare dinner if you wish, and experience a slower, richer way of life.
Accommodation: Nubian Homestay
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Let time slip away as you sail gently down the Nile. The felucca glides past sleepy villages, date palms, and donkeys sipping at the shore. With the wind in the sails and sun above, the journey itself becomes the destination. Come evening, dock along the riverbank for dinner and music by firelight.
Accommodation: Aboard Felucca
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Disembark and visit the twin-templed marvel of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the falcon-headed Horus and the crocodile god Sobek. Then travel overland to Luxor, once the ancient city of Thebes. With the Nile nearby and the sun setting behind the palms, enjoy a swim before dinner. Tomorrow, history awaits.
Accommodation: Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast
Explore the West Bank of Luxor, where golden hills hide the tombs of pharaohs deep underground. In the Valley of the Kings, enter richly decorated tombs — maybe even Tutankhamun’s, if you choose. Then visit the majestic mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s most powerful queen.
Your morning ends at Medinet Habu, a quieter gem with intricate carvings and fewer crowds. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch with a local family before your afternoon at leisure.
Accommodation: Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Optional: Take to the skies in a hot air balloon for a bird’s-eye view of Luxor’s monuments and the winding Nile.
Later, visit Karnak — one of the largest religious complexes ever built, filled with towering columns, sacred lakes, and hieroglyphic wonders.
Then say goodbye to the Nile Valley and head east to Hurghada, a breezy Red Sea resort where soft sands and aquamarine waters invite you to unwind.
Accommodation: Mercure Hurghada Hotel (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Sail into the blue today on a full-day snorkelling boat trip. Egypt’s Red Sea is bursting with marine life — colourful reef fish, dancing corals, and if you’re lucky, maybe even a sea turtle or two. Enjoy a relaxed lunch on board, then return for one last sunset by the sea. A perfect finale to your Egyptian family odyssey.
